Arizona Science Center strives to “inspire, educate and entertain people of all ages about science,” most importantly our community. In an effort to live up to that mission, Arizona Science Center is taking action to participate in local community events and taking science to kids who wouldn’t otherwise be able to visit the Center.
This past week, Elmo from “Sesame Street Presents: The Body” took a trip to the Phoenix Children’s hospital where Elmo brought smiles and laughter to children who would be unable to visit the exhibition during its run at Arizona Science Center. In addition Arizona Science Center brought along some fun musical science activities to teach kids about the science of sound.
Arizona Science Center is also taking part, as a donation location, in the statewide 12News PB&J drive (through July 31) which benefits St. Vincent de Paul in Arizona. Guests are invited to donate jars of Peanut Butter and Jelly as well as other canned food items when visiting the Center.
Look for Arizona Science Center taking further action to benefit the community!
