Venus glows this month in the southwest in the early evenings. Shining so bright, this Greek goddess of love and beauty is tough to miss. From the east the constellation Pegasus, the great winged horse of Greek mythology gallops across the night sky. The body can be seen as a large area of four medium-bright stars known as the “Great Square.” This winged stallion hosts 51-Pegasi, the first sun-like star known to have an extra-solar planet.
