The New Dorrance Planetarium

With the re-opening of the new Dorrance Planetarium, we are proud to be the first science center in the WORLD to showcase a state-of-the-art NanoSeam dome! With this cutting-edge technology, visitors will be fully immersed in the imagery of the galaxy; transported on animated journeys through cells, Earth, space and time, as well as the astronomical marvels of our beautiful Arizona night skies.

Starry Storytime - Our youngest visitors will enjoy this opportunity to find things in the sky while hearing stories about the stars and visiting planets along the way.
Showings: 11:00 a.m.

Arizona Skies- Come hear stories about the different constellations up this time of year, and discover the current night sky. This show concludes with a spin through the cosmos.
Showings: 11:45 a.m.

Black Holes - Learn more about the mysterious and powerful black holes and the strange physical effects they can create.
Showings: 1:30 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.

Microcosm: The Adventure Within – Take a trip through the human body like never before with the crew of a miniaturized sub that has been injected into a patient to seek out a stubborn infection and combat the virus.
