Local Science Center Hosts Prom: A Science Soiree
Arizona Science Center Brings Prom to Adults During Science With A Twist on May 17
PHOENIX, Ariz. – Calling all adults 21 and over – it’s prom season! Arizona Science Center is delighted to host another edition of Science With A TWIST on Friday, May 17, and this time, the team will be going all out to give adults the chance to celebrate prom all over again. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., guests will explore science through hands-on activities, engaging lectures, dazzling demonstrations and more – all while dressed in your best prom-worthy attire.
Throughout the night, guests can explore various science stations floating throughout the center, discover poisons and antidotes, embark on the History of Magic or even partake in the Three Little Pigs Engineering Challenge. Plus, the night will also feature a live DJ, selfie station, costume contest, trivia and more. Arizona Science Center will serve up cocktails, beer, wine and pizza to celebrate the occasion.

- Demonstrations and mini-lecture topics include:
- Poisons and Antidotes
- Dragon Discovery
- History of Magic
- The Art and Sustainable Practices of Floral Arrangements.
- Science stations floating throughout the Center including:
- Three Little Pigs Engineering Challenge
- Fairy Potions
- Learn the aerodynamics of a soaring carriage
- Live DJ, selfie station, fairytale trivia and Costume Contest (come dressed to participate if you’re in the competitive spirit).
