Magnificent Meteorology

Reach for the sky at Girls in STEM’s August event, Magnificent Meteorology! Participants will explore the components of Earth’s water cycle, create their own DIY weather station to get in touch with their inner meteorologist and investigate the effects of monsoon season on flash flooding here in Arizona.

Whether you’re curious about the art of jewelry-making, a self-proclaimed “bad” artist, or simply enjoy creating and crafting, you’re invited to Arizona Science Center’s next Science With a TWIST, Crafts & Cocktails! Curious creatives will have the chance to explore the ‘A’ in STEAM through expert-led sketching classes, jewelry-making, a bad art station, community art wall and more. Plus, we’re adding a twist with delicious craft cocktails inspired by some of the world’s most iconic artwork!
Amazing Agriculture

Whether you’re an aspiring veterinarian, curious about livestock nutrition or want to know more about the science behind agriculture, Arizona Science Center’s next Panel Professionals will offer expert insight into the fascinating world of agriculture! Science Center Members and Guests will be able to participate in an engaging, hour-long Q+A session with Dr. Tony Martin, Sarah Radachy, Dr. Juan Rodríguez and Dr. Michelle Schack. Blue Whales: Return of the Giants 3D takes viewers on a journey of a lifetime to explore the world of the magnificent blue whale—a species rebounding from the brink of extinction. Blue whales are the largest animals ever to have lived, bigger than any dinosaur, yet we know surprisingly little about them. Joined by a cast of supporting characters, from dolphins and sperm whales to sea lions and orcas, the blue whale finally gets a turn in the spotlight—in life-size on the giant screen!
