Cities of the Future invites you to step into the future and discover the exciting innovations engineers are working on right now to help meet the challenges of a changing world. Renewable energy will be our primary power source, solar energy beamed down from space will power entire cities, smart buildings and greener infrastructure will keep us cool, and we will travel on aerial highways in individualized pods that run on little or no energy. We will also ride in electric flying vehicles! Traffic jams will be a thing of the past. This isn’t science fiction. This is the world engineers are designing right now. Travel to some of the world’s greatest cities—from Amsterdam to Los Angeles to Singapore and more—where profound change is already happening and meet the engineers and visionaries whose human ingenuity is forging a brighter, more sustainable future for us all.
Narrated by critically acclaimed actor John Krasinski, Cities of the Future is produced by MacGillivray Freeman Films in partnership with the American Society of Civil Engineers, the same award-winning team that created the blockbuster film Dream Big: Engineering Our World.

Dinosaurs of Antarctica tells the story of a changing environment at the bottom of the world. In ancient times, dinosaurs and other creatures roamed freely in a lush landscape. Today, the continent holds evidence of that world, frozen beneath its ice and snow. As the climate changes again, melting Antarctic ice is allowing scientists to discover the remains of the past—including the fossils of those distinctive creatures! Viewers of all ages will enjoy meeting the newest dinosaurs, like Cryolophosaurus, and other creatures in the film—as well as the dedicated scientists who explore the warming continent to find them.

FAQs for the Theater
Irene P. Flinn Giant Screen Theater films are included in all Memberships and general admission.
Guests may enter the Giant Screen Theater from Level 1 or Level 2. Both entrances are accessible by wheelchair with nearby reserved seating.
Closed captioning, amplified audio (headsets and neck loops) and descriptive audio is available for most films at no additional cost. Please request assistive devices when making ticket reservations or at the Admissions Zone or Information Zone.
