Arizona Science Center hosts birthday parties like no other venue in town! After all, what other place lets guests walk through an enormous model of a “working” stomach, get a feel for what it’s like to be in the midst of a hurricane and also play with a Paper Airplane Launcher?
Located in downtown Phoenix within Heritage & Science Park, the Center is centrally located in the heart of the city. Our event coordinators will take care of all the details and customization so you can just sit back and enjoy yourself along with your friends and family. Trust us—we’ve got birthday party planning down to a science!
Party Packages
All birthday party packages are priced based on 12 guests ages 3 and older (guests 2 and under are free) and include:
- 90 minutes in our Celebration Lab (plus an additional 15 minutes for setup and 15 minutes for cleanup), unless noted otherwise
- All-day general admission to Arizona Science Center
- A dedicated Birthdayologist to help facilitate your party and answer questions
- Gift for the birthday guest of honor
- On-stage shoutout during one of our live science demonstrations
- Print-at-home PDF invitations

Our base package lets science-lovers customize their experience by adding pump-up-the-party options to celebrate however they see fit!

Bugs N' Bots Package
Encourage guests to get in touch with their inner engineer! This package includes 2.5 hours in our Celebration Lab, where attendees get to design their very own CREATE project. Choose one of the following projects:
- Jitterbugs: Explore anatomy, bioluminescence and electronics while creating a one-of-a-kind insect.
- Scribble Bots: Make a unique art project using motorized art machines while exploring the concepts of iteration and experimentation.

The 12 Guests include every person that attends the party ages 3 and older, including the birthday child and their family.
Absolutely! You can add additional Guests for a fee per person. This fee varies on the party package.
Parents/guardians do not need to attend the party, however one adult per six children is required to attend.
Yes, adults are counted as Guests.
You are welcome to bring decorations such as non-helium balloons, table covers, etc. Please avoid items with glitter, confetti or anything that needs to be attached to walls.
Party times vary based on availability. They generally begin at 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.
Your Birthdayologist acts as a guide and is there to support you in creating a wonderful celebration experience. They will help you with set-up, making your showtimes, facilitating activities and cleaning up at the end of the day.
The Celebration Lab is your private birthday party room where you can eat cake/meals, open presents, and celebrate with your friends and family!
While parties can be several hours, your party will have 90 minutes reserved in the party room, regardless of the length of your full party.
Deposits are meant to reserve the date and time for your party and are non-refundable.
Birthday parties do not have a specified length, so they can be very flexible. Parties generally last three to four hours, but they can go all the way until 4:00 p.m. when Arizona Science Center closes, regardless of your start time.
