The Gift of Your Time
You don’t have to be a scientist to volunteer at Arizona Science Center! If you are 15 years or older, outgoing, love engaging with people of all ages and have a passion for science, we would love to have you. Volunteers are given the opportunity to work in exhibitions, assist with demonstrations and practice our mission to inspire, educate and engage curious minds through science.

- Guest Sales and Services
- Provide exceptional customer service to Guests
- Greet and guide Guests around the Center as needed
- Assist with seating inside the Dorrance Planetarium and Irene P. Flinn Giant Screen Theater
- CREATE at Arizona Science Center ®
- Greet CREATE Guests and assist with activity zones
- Prepare activity materials
- Assist with preparing special projects and operating laser-cutting machines and 3D printers
- Activity Facilitator
- Assist with preparing stage demonstrations
- Facilitate interactive activities
- Assist with preparing materials for educational events
- Amateur Radio Operator in Harkins Ham Shack

Commitment Levels
We recognize that life is ever-changing—and flexibility is key! Arizona Science Center’s Volunteer Program is willing to work with any type of commitment, from single-day volunteers to corporate groups. Find the commitment level that’s right for you:
Core Volunteer
- Weekly, recurring shifts 1–7 days a week
- Volunteer selects the days they want
- Tasks vary between shifts and department needs
Event Volunteer
- Volunteer time as needed for special projects
- Volunteers assist with event preparation, day-of assistance and more
Corporate Groups
- Volunteer with your organization
- Groups can assist with special projects, event preparation and day-of event assistance
Looking for service-learning credit? Inquire with the Arizona Science Center volunteer team. Service-learning credits are available by request.
